Steven Doetschman uses a utility knife to slice and peel off the old grip, then sprays Windex inside the new grip and on the handlebar as a lubricant to slide it into position. Once positioned, the end plug is tapped in gently with a hammer and the bike is left overnight for the grip to set firmly in place.

hi my name is Steve and I’m going to show you how to install hand grips on a Schwin air di first you want to take your utility knife and slice the old hand grip until it comes off you can peel it off it should come away now what you want to do is you want to take your new hand grip and take some Windex and spray inside your new hand grip so it’s nice and wet inside of there and then spray also spray your handle C handlebar now you’ve got Windex on your handlebar youve Windex in your grip take your new grip slide it onto the bike putting it exactly where you want it make sure you take the end cap push it into the frame take a hammer tap the end plug in gently until it goes in then once it’s in place leave your grip on exactly the way that you want it and let it dry overnight and then your grip will be solid that’s how you install a grip on a air on
